--Such a simple statement from a 'daily' entry, describing a natural, practical, pragmatic course of things, is somehow sounding like a statement of surreal poetic justice!

--With each casual phrase in it sounding like a metaphor for something else -- something very existential altogether!!

And of course, the conflict and the metaphors herein are so ancient, a classic like 'Mahabharatha' has a couple of central chapters and characters dedicated to this!
